Overview
This is a practical course intended to give candidates the skills required to fulfill the role of an Axe Technician in a commercial environment. The course takes the candidate through setup and configuration of an Axe project from scratch, including test management integration and dealing with application components not supported by the GUI tool. Also covered is the technicians role in the deployment of an Axe project and the tasks required at each stage.
Objectives
To give candidates:
- an understanding of the features of Axe used in the Axe Technician role.
- an understanding of good test system design and best practices.
- the ability to communicate the technicians role in an Axe deployment.
- the ability to setup and configure new Axe projects.
- the ability to setup and configure the test management features of Axe.
- an understanding of extending test tool functionality and the ability to add new features to an Axe project.
Pre-Requisites
Candidates should have:
- attended "Axe Testers Course" or have good commercial experience using Axe in the testers role.
- good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- expert knowledge of at least one GUI test tool (certification preferred).
- a good grounding in automated testing practices and techniques.
